Knowing God's Voice.

Knowing God's voice implies several things 1st: That there is a God. This is the truth that there is a God who is revealed to man through the written word, the Holy Bible. 2nd: That He communicates with man. The written word is God's communication to man. The Bible often repeats the phrase... And God said. 3rd: That man can recognize His voice when He speaks. The Bible verifies that BELIEVERS can know the voice of God. Jesus said~My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me... 4th: That God has something to say. God speaks: Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, Today when you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion... a. The voice of man... Then Peter & the other Apostles answered & said, We ought to obey God rather than men.{acts5v29}. Sometimes the voice of man may give wise advice, but anytime the voice of man CONFLICTS with the voice of God, you must obey God. b. The voice of satan : The voice of satan was first heard by man when he spoke to Eve in the Garden of Eden(Gen3:1,4-5). Satan's voice lies, decieve's and always attempts to lead man into sin and away from God. Evil spirits also have a voice. Acts8v7. c. The voice of SELF: the voice of self is man talking to himself. Warning of such=Luke16:3 & Jonah4:8. THE VOICE OF GOD. Believers are compared to sheep. It is the characteristic of sheep not to know where they are going. They must be led, Jesus says He is the shepherd or leader of the sheep. He says My sheep know my voice and follow me(JESUS) instead of the voices of man, self or satan. John10:3-5 ......He goeth before His sheep, and the sheep follow Him; for they know His voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from Him(stranger); for they know not the voice of strangers. Knowing God's voice result in finding the will of God.
